Mix 1. London Winter

Sunday 21 March 2010 - Filed under Mixes + Music

This is a mix of some stuff I’ve been listening to over the last 6 months but finished while I was in London over January/February. It definitely has an emotional, cold winter vibe. I think you could watch some sci-fi to get in the mood for a synthetic winter. I’m sure Xiaofu will hate it because it is reverb city. Some parts are a bit cheesy (the Kraftwerk/Leonard Cohen mash), but I think there is some really interesting and touching music in it. I promise less reverb next time.

Mix 1. London Winter

Music For Spheres – Delia Derbyshire

The Disintegration Loops – William Basinski

Untitled (live) – Jeff Buckley

Where It Goes – Grouper

Pure Imagination – Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley

Electric Counterpoint: Slow – Steve Reich

Tongebirde – Kraftwerk

    Can’t wait to hear this.

And what did I say about warming to the idea of heaps of reverb? I’ll reiterate, I’ve warmed

Thanks for spelling my name correctly too haha
